Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock at the death of Master Abdul Hai Miah, former president of the Bhedarganj upazila Awami League in Shariatpur district.
The Prime Minister, in a condolence message, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Abdul Hai, also a valiant Freedom Fighter, died on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment at the LabAid Hospital in Dhaka. He was 80.
He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
