Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday expressed profound shock at the death Dr Mohammad Selim, a former MP and former presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League.
In a message of condolence, Hasina said Dr Mohammad Selim, the
eldest son of national leader Captain M Monsur Ali, was the founding member secretary of the Bangabandhu Parishad and also an honest and dedicated leader.
She said that in his death, the nation has lost an educated, polite, patriotic and veteran leader while the people of Sirajganj and numerous leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League would remember his contributions with deep respect.
The Prime Minister also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Dr. Mohammad Selim, the elder brother of Health Minister Mohammad Nasim, died in London yesterday.
