PM hosts Iftar for orphans, war-wounded FFs

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday hosted an iftar for orphans, physically-challenged children, war-wounded freedom fighters (FFs) and alem-ulema (Islamic scholars) at her official residence Ganobhaban.
Before the iftar, the Prime Minister went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their wellbeing.
A special munajat was offered seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram
National Mosque Maulana Mizanur Rahman conducted the munajat.
Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib and other martyrs of the August 15 massacre, four national leaders, martyrs of the War of Liberation and heroes of democratic movements.
Alhaj Shah Mohammad Ahasnuzzaman, Peer Saheb, Mashurikhola Darbar Sharif, Alhaj Misbahur Rahman Chowdhury, Governor, Board of Governors, Islami Foundation, Shaikh Khandakar Golam Mawla Nakshabandi, Governor, Board of Governors, Islamic Foundation, Maulana Abdul Alim Rizvi, Mufti Maulana Zahirul Islam Mia, Maulana Badiul Alam Sarkar, Maulana Ruhul Amin Khan Uzanabi, Hafez Maulana Abdur Razzaque, Dr Maulana Abdullah Al Maruf, Maulana Syed Wahiduzzaman, Maulana Moniruzzman Rabbani, Dr Maulana Syed Emdaduddin, Alhaj Md Ismail Mia, Dr Maulana Morshed Alam Salehi, Mufti Abul Hasan Shamsabadi, Maulana AMM SIrajul Islam, Maulana Jalal Ahmed, Maulana Abu Sufian Zaki, Maulana Naimul Islam Barqati and Maulana Abdul Alim Azadi, among others, attended the iftar.
Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman, Social Welfare Minister Mohsin Ali, Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad and Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim were also present.
