Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday hosted an Iftar in honour of the country’s eminent personalities, poets and writers, artistes as well as her family members and relatives at the lawn of her official Ganabhaban residence.
Arriving at the venue at 6:10 pm, the prime minister went round different tables set for the guests and exchanged pleasantries with them.
Before the Iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of the 15th August carnage as well as the long life and good health of the prime minister.
Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mohiuddin Quashemi conducted the munajat.
