Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed her high hope that Bangladesh will play in the semifinal of the ongoing Cricket World Cup.
She voiced the optimism at the very beginning of the PM’s question-answer session in Parliament.
The Leader of the House said Bangladesh already beat England in the group match and congratulated the Bangladesh team.
“On behalf of all the members of Parliament, I want to congratulate our team. This is the first time we reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup winning three matches consecutively,” she said.
Hasina sought blessings from the people of the country so that Bangladesh could reach the semifinal of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup.
