PM Hasina visits Ajmer Sharif to offer prayers

UNB, Dhaka :

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday visited Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Dargah Sharif at Ajmer, Indian state of Rajasthan, to offer prayers at the shrine of Sufi saint Mainuddin Chisti.

“The Prime Minister offered fateha, nafal prayers and munajat, seeking for the development, prosperity and welfare of the country, the nation and for the entire Muslim ummah,” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.

She spent some time there and went around the Ajmer Dargah Sharif, he said.

A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the premier was landed at Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan at 9:55 am local time.

Earlier, the flight departed Palam Airport, New Delhi at 9:12am Indian time.
