Boalkhali-Kalurghat Bridge Implementation Parishad has greeted the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for extending approval of second karnaphuli railway-cum-road bridge beside the existing Kalurghat bridge in Chittagong. The parishad leaders also congratulated the Principal secretary to Prime minister Abul kalam Azad and the Deputy commissioner of Chittagong Mesbahuddin for playing role of the approval of the long awaited second kalurghat bridge at Boalkhali point over river Karnaphuli. At a meetingof the parishad at Karnaphuli Tower in Kazir Dewri, the proposal for greeting the Prime Minister was unanimously taken , sources said.The meeting was presided over by the convenor of the Parishad Abdul Momin. Among others joint convenor Mustafa Naim, president of Boalkali Union Parishad Noor Mohammad, member secretary Ramen Dasgupta also present in the meeting, sources said.
