UNB, Dhaka : The High Court on Monday rejected a petition seeking change of the court for three accused and also for interrogating one of the witnesses in the sensational 10-truck arms haul case. An HC bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order after a hearing on the petitions. Court sources said that with the passing of the order yesterday, now there is no bar on delivering the verdict on the 10-truck arms haul case. Earlier, on January 13, a special tribunal fixed January 30 for delivering the verdict in the case. Chittagong Metropolitan Special Tribunal Judge SM Mojibur Rahman fixed the date on completion of arguments by the prosecution and the defense. On April 1, in 2004, ten trucks with arms were seized from two vessels at the Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Ltd jetty. Two cases were filed with Karnaphuli police station on the following day under the Special Powers Act and the Arms Act.
