DU Correspondent :
Bangladesh Student Union (BSU), a left oriented student organisation, on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique demanding the cancellation of `D’ unit admission test, and retaking of the test, citing anomalies.
A five-member delegation headed by BSU DU President Tuhin Kanti Das submitted the memorandum. DU BSU General Secretary Fayez Ullah, Vice-President Shuvo Modok, Sudip Das and Saddam Hossen were present at that time.
Tuhin Kanti Das alleged that many unqualified students got chance to become students of the university in exchange of money in connivance with some dishonest employees.
He also said that they had submitted memorandum to the VC demanding the cancellation of `D’ unit admission test, and to retake the test and demanding the arrest and exemplary punishment to the forgery syndicate.
Tuhin said, the VC admitted that some incidents of forgery occurred. So, we are investigating the complaints against the alleged students. Later step will be taken against the offenders.
The result of the ‘D’ unit admission test of DU for 2016-2017 Session was published on November 1.
