Court Correspondent :
The prosecution on Wednesday prayed to Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court for cancellation of Tazreen Fashions Chairman Mahmuda Akhter Mita’s bail.
Khandaker Abdul Mannan, Public Prosecutor of Dhaka District and Sessions Court, submitted the petition. Although, it was accepted, the date of hearing could not be known immediately.
On February 10, Mita obtained conditional bail from the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Dhaka. On the day, Dhaka’s Judicial Magistrate Ismail Hossain Palash granted her bail on a bond of Tk 20,000 and asked her to appear in the court every Sunday. But the same court rejected the bail petition of her husband Delwar Hossain, who is the Managing Director (MD) Tazreen Fashions, and sent him to the jail.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court granted bail considering Mita to be a woman and mother of a child.
Earlier, on Sunday at about 9.30 am, Managing Director Delwar Hossain and Chairman Mahmuda Akter Mita surrendered to the court with bail pleas.

On Dec 22 last year, police submitted the charge sheet against 13 officials of Tazreen Fashions Ltd including its Managing Director (MD) and Chairman.
