Pistol, suicide vest recovered from militant den

Law enforcers on Friday afternoon recovered one pistol and a suicide vest along with the bodies of four militants, who were killed during Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT)’s operation in Shibnagar-Trimohoni militant den in Shibganj upazila on Thursday night.
A team of police recovered the bodies and the weapons around 1:30pm and sent those to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Habibul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station.
He further informed that the identities of the three other militants could not be known yet.
When contacted, Superintendent of Police of Chapainawabganj TM Mojahidul Islam said, the CID has not yet handed over the seizure list to the police.
The operation codenamed ‘Eagle Hunt’ conducted by a team of Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) under Dhaka Metropolitan Police along with the local law enforcers at Shibganj Trimohoni militant den came to an end on Thursday evening.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police of Rajshahi Range Khurshid Hossain declared the operation closed.
