Pieces of youth’s body recovered after 3 days of abduction in Ishwardi

Three days after the abduction in Ishwardi, police recovered 10 pieces of the body of the abducted youth who demanded a ransom of Tk 40 lakh. The body was recovered from Naodapara of Dashuria Union around 11:30 pm on Monday (13). The victim Hridoy Hossain (24) is the son of Majnu Ali of Natun Ruppar (football ground) area of Pakshi union of the upazila. The heart was abducted from Rooppur Three Battala area of Pakshi upazila around 9:30 am on Friday (December 10).
He was reportedly abducted on Friday (December 10th) in a public microbus. Later, the kidnappers called from his mobile phone and demanded a ransom of Tk 40 lakh from his relatives.
Hridoy’s brother Jiban Hossain said, a white microbus stopped as soon as he arrived at the shop in the morning. Before the people present there could understand anything, some of them took his brother in a microbus and left for Pabna. A written complaint was lodged with Ishwardi police station immediately after the incident.
Majnu, the father of the abducted heart, said that after the abduction, someone called me from my son’s mobile phone on Friday afternoon and demanded a ransom of Tk 40 lakh. I lodged a complaint with the police on the day of the abduction.
On Monday we found his body after 3 days.
Atiqul Islam, In-Charge of Pakshi Police Outpost, said, “We have been trying to rescue him since the allegations were made.” A member of the kidnapping ring was arrested on Monday night for demanding ransom.
According to his information, the body of a man named Chand Ali was recovered from the house of a person named Chand Ali near Naodapara two-storey mosque on Dashuria-Lalon Shah bridge highway. The gang was renting the house and continuing their misdeeds.
Ishwardi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman Asad said the body of the abducted youth, who was demanding ransom, was recovered, adding that the abductors may have killed his heart soon after the abduction. The smell spread through the corpse. One kidnapper has been arrested, while efforts are underway to arrest the rest.
