A committee of the Alumni Association of Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism of Bangladesh Press Institute (PIB) was formed on Saturday in a meeting of the students who graduated from the institute over the years. The meeting was held at the Conference Room of PIB.
The meeting unanimously elected Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah as the President of the new committee. SM Motiur Rahman, Dipu Siddiquee and Farah Naz Sattar were nominated as Vice-Presidents. Advocate Ruhi Shamsad has been declared as the General Secretary of the new body.
Other members of the committee are — Moron Chand Roy Joyonta and Mejbahul Haque, Joint Secretaries; Mir Mohd. Kabir Hossen, Organising Secretary; Daniel Mohd Aurongzeb, Finance Secretary; Mohd Nur Karim, Literary Secretary; Nasreen Najmeen, Sports Secretary; Shabuddin Mahtab, Publicity Secretary; Tania Sultana Happy, Information and Research Secretary; Mominullah, Social Welfare Secretary; Abul Hasan, Office Secretary; Tanvir Hossen, International Affairs Secretary; Md. Abdur Rakib Khan, Law Secretary and Dr Rabin, Health Secretary.
The election was conducted by Rafiqul Islam Badal. The committee has already assumed office.
