Physicians urged not to deny any patient

Spokesperson of 14-party alliance and Awami League Presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Monday called upon physicians, nurses and all concerned to refrain from denying treatment to any patient during the crisis saying “providing treatment is religion to doctors’.
“All cases of fever, cough and breathing problems do not mean coronavirus. So, patients with such ailments must be given treatment. No patient should be denied treatment,” he said a statement of the alliance issued here.
He said people could get fever and cough usually but these symptoms do not mean coronavirus case.
He urged all to make united efforts to face the prevailing crisis triggered by deadly coronavirus outbreak prompting the government to enforce ‘stay at home’ rules by declaring 10-day general holidays.
“Let us make united efforts to fight the crisis and stand by wage earners and those who lead a hand to mouth life during the crisis period,” said 14-party spokesperson and Awami League Presidium member Mohammed Nasim in a joint statement today.
Nasim called upon the affluent section of the society to help the poor and destitute people during the crisis.
