Speakers said at a discussion personal and institutional integrity in banking sector is very important to earn clients confidence on the banking activities.
They viewed integrity is totally influenced by morality and honesty so practicing individual or personal integrity is the precondition to restore institutional integrity as a whole. For this reason, the branch managers should always remain alert in this regard.
The observation came at the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a five-day training course titled “Implementation of National Integrity Strategy in Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB)” held at its training institution in Rajshahi yesterday.
RAKUB organized the course for its 53 branch managers to give them idea about the strategy and its full-length implementation. In phases, all the 476 branch managers will be brought under the course.
Ekramul Haque, General Manager of Operation division, attended and addressed the session as the chief guest with Institute Principal Mozammel Haque in the chair.
He told the participants that the present government has formulated the national integrity strategy for establishing good governance and preventing corruption.
Vision of the strategy is to build a happy and corruption-free Bangladesh and to establish good governance everywhere in the state and all its institutions, he added.
The government move to ensure “self-purification and integrity in all activities of the state and politics” through formation of the National Integration Strategy has brought some positive changes in some government institutions.
He urged the branch managers to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty so that the strategy is executed successfully in RAKUB.
As the largest development partner in the agricultural sector of the northwest Bangladesh, RAKUB plays a vital role to earn economic emancipation and free the nation from poverty and hunger through boosting credit-flow to the potential agricultural fields, he added.
