Personage of Egyptian Vision at AFD

The painting exhibition of Egyptian artist Dr Walid Jahin titled Personage of Egyptian Vision is going on at the La Galerie of the Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) now.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Suranjit Sengupta as the chief guest, while Director of AFD Bruno Plasse gave the welcome speech on the occasion.
Dr Walid Jahin expressed his satisfaction in joining the event. He is largely happy working with Bangladesh. He hopes all of them will enjoy his exhibition to the fullest.
Suranjit Sengupta enjoyed the event. He said that art is the solid exposure of our feeling. Its specialty is it teaches us the unseen.
Renowned Egyptian artist, Dr Walid Jahin is exhibiting his artworks for the first time in Bangladesh. He is a professor in the famous Alexandria University of Egypt from the Department of Fine Arts.
As Dr Walid puts it, his artistic transcendence started 15 years back deriving inspiration from the great Egyptian art, whose influences evolved into modernism and post-modern forms. He is known for bridging the gap between traditional Egyptian art form and modern art form. Best known for his modern art techniques, he has received many prestigious awards since 1996.
In 2013, Dr Walid received the First Prize from the Seventh Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art.
He has conducted numerous workshops around the world and has also received a lot of scholarships for his excellence and worked as a trainer and supervisor on many occasions. His recent endeavours celebrate the human body portraying in the epic manner of Greek Gods and Goddesses.
Dorpon Art Foundation brought Dr Walid Jahin to Bangladesh for an exhibition and artistic workshop programme.
