People urged to join human chain on Feb 8

Health and Family Welfare Minister and ruling party Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim has called upon the people of all strata to participate at the human chain programme on Sunday.
The ruling party led 14-party alliance will stage the human chain across the country including the capital to help prevent ongoing violence unleashed by the BNP-Jammat.
Mohammad Nasim, also a spokesperson of the alliance, made the call following a view of exchange meeting with various organizations on how to make the programme a success held at ruling party president Sheikh Hasina’s political office at Dhanmondi here on Friday.
Nasim urged all the leaders and activists of the 14-party alliance and people of all strata believe in the spirit of liberation war to participate at the human chain as part of protest against the violence unleashed by the anti-liberation forces like BNP-Jammat across the country.
“The human chain ultimately would help to reinforce the mass protests which already have begun in the country against the violence and terrorism by the BNP-Jammat”, the minister added.
The trial of the war criminals is now being carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and it would be continued, said the minister.
Terming the ongoing violence as a conspiracy of the BNP-Jammat, Nasim told the meeting that nobody at any country in the world would be succeeded by killing people in violence.
Ruling party’s joint general secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP, Dr Dipu Moni MP, General Secretary of Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal Comrade Dilip Barua, General Secretary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Sharif Nurul Ambia, acting president of JSD Mainuddin Khan Badal MP, Ruling party’s organizing secretary Ahmad Hossen, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP, Ruling party’s Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossen, Office secretary of the ruling party Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap,among others, participated in the meeting.
