Primary Education Completion (PEC) and its equivalent Ebtedayee terminal examinations 2017 will begin from November 19.
The decision was taken on Tuesday at a meeting with Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman in the chair at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
The duration will be two and a half hours, Additional Secretary AFM Manzur Kadir said.
A total of 2.85 million students will take part in the examinations this year. It will end on Nov 26 and the results will be published by the end of December.
The PEC examination routine: English will be held on November 19, Bangla on November 20, Bangladesh and World Studies on November 21, Elementary Science on November 22, Religion and Moral Science on November 23 and Mathematics on November 26.
The Ebtedayee examination routine: English will be held on November 19, Bangla, on November 20, Bangladesh and World Studies on November 21, Arabic on November 22, Quran and Tazbique, Akayeed and Fikah on November 23 and Mathematics on November 26.
