Peace conference of Rotary International will be held today at Radisson Hotel in the city. Rotary International President Elect KR Ravindran informed it at a press conference at Hotel Radisson. He said that Rotarians serve the humanity based on The Rotary Foundation’s Six Areas of Focus. Peace and conflict prevention / resolution is one such area. The conference focused on attaining peace through economic empowerment and cultural exchange.
Rotarians work as an advocacy group which aims to build world peace by uplifting the lives of the less fortunate.
Rotary Governor Safina Rahman & MA Latif, PDG Rafiq Ahmed Siddique, Salim Reza, Mostafa Jaman Abbasi,past Governors, Governor (elect) S.A.M Showket Hossain, Sufi Mijanur Rahman & other Rotary Leaders were also present at the press conference.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the peace conference as the chief guest in the morning today at Hotel Radisson. President, Government officials, diplomats, civil leaders and Rotary dignitaries will present at the conference.
