The Power Development Board (PDB) on Wednesday snapped 14 power supply lines in city’s Modherbari area for non-payment of outstanding bills amounting to TK 38 lakh.
The sudden disconnection of lines caused immense sufferings to the residents of those holdings, local sources said.
The magistrate of PDB court Mohammad Hasan said PDB has cut off power supply to 14 lines for realizing outstanding bills of TK 38 lakh. The defaulter subscribers alleged that power supply was snapped without serving notice.
