Power Development Board (PDB) SC emerged champions of the Men’s Division of the Walton Smart Television National Volleyball Competition while BJMC became champions of the Women’s Division on Monday.
In the final of the Men’s Division, Power Development Board beat Titas Gas T&D Company Limited by 3-2 sets in the final at the Volleyball Stadium.
In the final of the Women’s Division, BJMC defeated Bangladesh Ansar & VDP by 3-1 sets at the same venue.
Bangladesh Army finished third in the Men’s Division when they overcame Bangladesh Air Force by 3-0 sets in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
Pabna District team became third in the Women’s Division when they thrashed Narail District team by 3-0 sets in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
After the final matches President of BGMEA Md Atiqul Islam distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Advisor of ATN Bangla Nawajesh Ali Khan and Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don were with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Ashiqur Rahman Miku, Vice-President of BVF Mostafa Kamal, Vice-President of the Federation Tabiur Rahman and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul were present at the time.
