UNB, Dhaka :The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday arrested eight people, including a director of the Department of Immigration and Passport and a bank manager, from different parts of the country in separate graft cases.ACC assistant director Shafiullah arrested suspended director of divisional passport and visa office, Agargaon, Munshi Muyeed Ekram and office assistant of the visa office Md Saiful Islam from the capital, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB. Earlier on Tuesday, the national anti-graft agency filed a case against them with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station for allegedly issuing official passports to 66 civilians. According to the first information report (FIR), the accused in collusion with each other issued official passports to general people through counterfeiting the signature of a professor of Dhaka Medical College for their personal gains.
