Customs members at Chittagong ShahAmanat International Airport recovered 3 kgs gold bars from a passenger arrived from Oman by Oman Air on Saturday evening at about 7 pm. Oman expatriate Absar Miah was detained by airport police for bringing undeclared gold bars. The approximate cost of these gold is about Tk.1.25 cr, said Customs Deputy Commissioner Minhajuddin Pahlowan. Customs sources said these 25 gold bars was packed by black tape . Acting on secret information, customs official conducted search in his personal luggage and recoveredthese gold from his hand bag.A case under customs act lodged against him,s ources said.
