The pass percentage increased by 8.84 percent than the last year but the numbers of GPA-5 comparatively decreased under Chittagong Education Board.
 The pass percentage of HSC examinees this year is 70.06 % whereas it was 61.22% in last year. The numbers of GPA-5 in last year was 2,772 and which decreased to 2,646 . Among them, 1,357 male students and 1,289 female students. Under CEB, a total of 77,526 students appeared from 205 colleges where 54,312 students passed which includes male 26,581 students and female 27,731 students. The pass percentage of male is 69.39 % and female is 70.70% . The pass percentage in science group 79.2%, commerce group 72.61% , and humanities 62.11 % . The pass percentage in metropolitan Chittagong is 79.87% whereas in the district is 63.90 % .
 The pass percentage of Chittagong including metropolitan city is 71.17% , Coxsbazar district 72% , Rangamati 59.52%, Khagrachari 63.28 & and Bandarban district 65.20%. The numbers of hundred percent pass college is 3 .
 Controller of Examinations of Chittagong Education Board Dr. Pijush Dutta announced the results of the HSC exams yesterday afternoon. He expressed satisfaction over the increase of pass percentage this year.
The results show that female students have performed better than their male counterparts this year as percentage of pass of the female students is 70.70 as against 69.39 of the males. The total percentage of pass in the HSC exams held in April-May this year under the CEB is 70.06.
A total of 54,312 students out of 77,792 came out successful in the
examination this year. Among the successful candidates, the number of male students is 26,581 and female 27,731.
A total of 2,646 students obtained GPA (Grade Point Average)-5 in the exams. Among them, 1,357 are male and 1,289 are female students.
In the science group, 9,477 students out of 12,075 came out successful, in the humanities group, 16,272 students out of 26,283 passed the exams and in the business studies group, 28,563 students out of 39,434 came out successful.
