A party does not get stuck, even if the party’s supreme leader is sick provided other leaders are united and show respondiblity, said former Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Emajuddin Ahamed.
“Every political party has a constitution of its own . It is administrated as per that constitution. BNP also has a constitution.
Article one to Article 10 clarify the powers, functions and responsibilities of each leader. If anyone gets sick it has been stated who will take the responsibility, he added. So due to anyone’s sickness the party won’t be stuck.”
National Youth Forum organized a discussion meeting on Wednesday at Jatiya Press Club titled, “The release of all prisoners with Khaleda Zia.” Professor Emajuddin was speaking there as the chief guest.
He also said, BNP is a big party. The chairperson of the party is a three times elected Prime Minister. BNP always works for the people’s welfare of the country. So, there is no alternative of BNP in the country.
“People have sympathy for her. Government is scared of the popularity of Khaleda Zia, he claims.”
“The real owner of the country is people. If any government distrusts the people, that government cannot continue.”
“Without political stability, the economic stability will not sustain for long. It needs to ensure the political stability, he claimed.”
BNP’s Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman, Youth Forum President Saidur Rahman, Humayun Kabir, Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah among others, were present on the occasion.
