After being closed for 5 days during Eid holiday, parcel train has started running again from yesterday. However, as the lockdown period has been extended till May 23, no decision has been taken yet on when the passenger train will start operating.
Chittagong Railway Station Manager Ratan Kumar Chowdhury said the parcel train earned Tk 1.21 lakh yesterday. All the 5 bogies of the parcel train were full yesterday. Passenger trains have been closed since April 5 to prevent corona transmission across the country.
