State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak left Dhaka for New York on Wednesday night on an official visit.
During the visit from May 4-14, he would attend the “Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert” to be held at Madison Square Garden in New York, said a press release.
Palak will also join the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Harvard University’s “Aspire Institute” on knowledge sharing in the ICT sector.

Department of Information and Communication Technology in collaboration with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority organises the “Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert” at Madison Square Garden in New York.
It is going to be held in commemoration of “Concert for Bangladesh” held in 1971 and as part of expressing gratitude to this great work and on the occasion of 50th anniversary of Independence and celebration of Mujib Year.
The earnings from the concert would be spent for awareness on cyber security among the children in developing countries through UNDP.
