Sports Reporter :Pakistan National Women’s Cricket team clinched the Twenty20 series 2-0 when they defeated Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket team by 34 runs in their second Twenty20 Cricket match at the South End Club Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Thursday.Earlier, Pakistan National Women’s Cricket team beat Bangladesh National Women’s Cricket team by 29 runs in their first Twenty20 match at the same venue on September 30.Winning in the coin-session Pakistan Women decided to bat first and made a fighting 114 for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then they restricted Bangladesh Women to 80 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.Bangladesh Women faced serious batting collapse and they failed to build any notable partnership.Rumana Ahmed of Bangladesh Women notched up a notable 27 from 33 balls featuring three fours while Ritu Moni made a modest 17 off 24 balls.Besides, skipper Salma Khatun scored 10 runs and Lata Mondal remained unbeaten with 10 runs.Sumaiya Siddiqi and Nida Dar of Pakistan bagged a pair of wickets each instead of nine and 15 runs.Sana Mir picked up one wicket for 14 runs.Earlier, Bismah Maroof shone with the willow making an unbeaten 44. She hit two fours in her 38-ball knock.Opener Marina Iqbal made 33 from 41 balls with four shots across the ropes while Aliya Riaz scored 20 off 15 balls including one four and one six.Nahida Akter of Bangladesh bagged two wickets at the cost of 27 runs while Lata Mondal and Salma Khatun took one wicket each for 12 and 21 runs.Bismah Maroof was adjudged the Player of the Match and also adjudged the Player of the Series.
