Padma Setu movie stuck in Censor Board

The Censor Board did not approve the movie Padma Setu, produced by Barua Manojit Dhiman and directed by Ali Azad, citing misrepresentation and irrelevant scenes. After watching the film, many of the Censor Board members are reported to have expressed their anger.
Information Secretary and Censor Board Chairman, Md Maqbul Hossain and other members of the board watched the movie on July 21. Film Directors’ Association President Sohanur Rahman Sohan, one of the members of the Censor Board, said that Padma Bridge has been insulted in the movie. Incorrect information about such state important installations is harmful to the country’s image.
The filmmakers were given several instructions, including collecting data from the bridge department and changing some scenes and dialogues. However, Ali Azad, the director of Padma Setu movie, claims that the issue of presenting wrong information is not true.
He said that everything that has been shown in the film had already appeared in various newspapers and magazines.
The entire shooting of the movie Padma Setu was done in Padma Bridge area.
The movie stars Sanju John, Raihan Mujib, Himel Raj, Anwar Siraji, Shanta Pal and Olivia Maisha. Produced by Bangla Talkies, Jazz Multimedia is set to distribute the movie.
The movie was expected to be released in August.
