Paddy truck snatched in Baraigram

Miscreants snatched a truck with 270 sacks of paddy in the name of DB police in Baraigram of Natore district. The driver of the truck, Tofail Hossain (64) said that the incident took place at the graveyard area of Koyen village in Baraigram upazila on the Natore-Pabna Highway on Sunday night. Tofail Hossain is the son of Sirajul Islam of Gaherpur village under Katowali Police Station in Jessore.
He also said that my helper and I left Jessore’s Khajura Bazar in a truck (Jessore-T-11-5196) loaded with 270 sacks of paddy for Natore on Sunday 9 pm. On the way, when we reached at the Koyen area of Baraigram. A group of miscreants stopped our truck and searching as there were 2 bags of narcotic substance in the truck. At a time, 4 of them came in our cabin of truck and told me to take them to a police station.
After running about 20 kilometers, miscreants got down us from our truck and they took us in their microbus, tied our hands, feet and eyes and started beating us.
There were 4 more miscreants were in that microbus.At around 5 am in the morning on Monday, they untied us near Kaliakoir flyover in Gazipur district and dropped us off. Later we came back to the spot and informed the details to Baraigram police station.
Baraigram police Officer in Charge Abu Siddique said, I heard the speach of truck driver Tofail Hossain. The search is going on after checking and sorting his words.
