Farid Ahmed is a versatile and legendary music composer who composed many songs for many renowned and popular singers of the country like Sabina Yasmin, Syed Abdul Hadi, Andrew Kishore, Runa Laila, Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya, Fahmida Nabi, Samina Chowdhury, Ferdous Ara among others. Fatima-tuz-Zahra Oyshee is the youngest sister by whom Farid Ahmed composed a song.
In Arun Chowdhury directed movie Altabanu, Oyshee gave her voice for a play-back song titled Jibon Khonjey Jibon under the composition by Farid Ahmed impressed the music lovers. It was first song rendered by Oyshee composed by Farid Ahmed. Oyshee again rendered a play-back song under his composition. She gave her voice for Arun Chowdhury’s second movie’s title song. Mohammad Rafiquzzaman wrote lyrics of the song. Its recording was done at Farid Ahmed’s studio in the city’s New Eskaton area on August 27 night. Director Arun Chowdhury and actor Noresh Bhuiyan were also present during that time.
Farid Ahmed said, “Rafiq Bhai wrote lyrics of the song nicely. I can experiment the song in Oyshee’s voice for her rendering style. In fact, her dedication and rendering style impressed me a lot.”
Oyshee shared her feelings by this way, “Everybody pray for me as I can render good songs.”
Therefore, Oyshee also gave her voice for Saidul Anam Tutul’s movie Kalbela.
