Over 50 picnickers escaped narrowly after their bus went up in flames in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur district early Friday.
The incident took place on Dhaka-Khulna highway near Bagat playground after 12am.
Sources said a group of youths started from
Katakhali village in the upazila for a picnic in the Sundarbans by an ‘Alif Mim Parbahan’ bus around 11:30pm.
The bus caught fire after a while.
However, noticing the fire, all the passengers got down from the bus and so no one was injured.
Later, the fire engulfed the entire vehicle.
On information, firefighters rushed in and brought the fire under control.
