A joint mobile court of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) and district administration has evicted over 100 illegally erected structures built on the occupied ‘Kedi Khal’ (a canal) lands in Rangpur city yesterday.
Executive Magistrate of RCC Rashedul Islam and Executive Magistrate of the district administration Sandhya Paul jointly led the mobile court at ‘Kedi Khal. Area under Ward No-19 in the city, said a press release issued here.
Concerned officials of RCC and district administrations and police forces were present while conducting the seven-hour long eviction drive by the mobile court from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.
City Mayor and valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu said that the eviction drives will continue onwards to evict all illegal structures and establishments from the illegally occupied lands in the city.
