As many as 123 families at Sholmari under Singra municipality in the district today get electricity connection.
“Bangladesh is heading towards progress and development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said while inaugurating electricity connection.
Palak said the government has been providing shelter to every homeless people and giving power supply to every house.
The state minister referred to the different achievements and development activities of the present government including infrastructural development.
“The country has been witnessing remarkable progress in every sector including agriculture, fisheries, business and commerce,” he said.
Singra Upazila Awami League president Wahidur Rahman Sheikh and municipality mayor Jannatul Ferdous addressed the function with local ward Awami League leader Abdur Rahman in the chair.
