Outgoing Turkey’s ambassador calls on President

Ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh Huseyin Muftuoglu made farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the President thanked the envoy for his role in developing bilateral relations during his assignment in Bangladesh, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
Abdul Hamid emphasized on joint-venture investment, particularly in apparel and pharmaceuticals sectors, for mutual benefits of the two countries.
In reply, the Turkish ambassador said the businesspeople of his country are interested to invest in Bangladesh. A regional office of Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) has been set up in Dhaka, which will help increase investment here, he added.
Both the President and the envoy underscored the need for exchanging high level delegations to further bolster the ties between Bangladesh and Turkey.
