Outgoing Ambassadors of Denmark and North Korea to Bangladesh called on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here on Sunday afternoon.
The outgoing envoys are: Mikael Hemniti Winther of Denmark and Ri Song Hyon of North Korea,
During the meeting with the Denmark envoy, the President recalled the contribution of Denmark over the Rohingya issue, President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
He expressed satisfaction over the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and said Bangladesh always attaches high importance to its relationship with Denmark.
“The trade and investment have increased between the two countries,” he mentioned.
The President said Bangladesh and Denmark are jointly working on the climate change issue while both the countries are providing necessary cooperation to each other in different international forums.
During the meeting with North Korean ambassador, President Hamid said since 1973 the bilateral relations between the two countries have been excellent as both the countries share their common views on different international issues.
The President told the envoy that Bangladesh gives priority to holding discussion to resolve any issue.
