The Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry on Sunday launched Online Travel Agency Management System (OTAMS) bringing the country’s nearly 5000 travel agencies under a single online system for making their license issuing and license renewal system simple.
“From now on, travel agents don’t need to come at our ministry for getting or renewing license. They can do it through online and definitely it will minimize red tapism,” Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said while inaugurating the OTMAS at the conference room of the ministry at secretariat this afternoon.
The OTAMS is an online system with a web portal that will create a single data base of the country’s all travel agencies. Any travel agencies can apply for or renew license through online using that web portal.
