The Osiris Group, a frontier markets private equity firm making investments in Asia, has partnered with BRAC, a leading development organization of the country.
The Osiris Group through its investments in Bangladesh and other frontier markets catalyzes inclusive growth, targeting six critical, national priority sectors: climate change, disruptive technology, financial inclusion, food and agriculture, healthcare and information and communications technology.
Impact Investing seeks both financial and social returns and is becoming increasingly popular with USD 228 billion of assets managed globally in 2017, said a press release.
Founded by Sir Fazle Hasan Abed 46 years ago, BRAC now operates in 11 countries across Asia and Africa.
In 2018, BRAC was ranked the world’s No.1 NGO for the third year in a row and four times in five years as part of the Top 500 NGOs World Rankings published by NGO Advisor, an independent media organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Fazle Hasan Abed said, “We are excited and look forward to working with the Osiris Group, sharing field insights and best-in-class investment methodologies while amplifying our collective impact across the communities we serve.”
