Economic Reporter :
The organisers have reduced the number of stalls in the upcoming Dhaka International Trade Fair or DITF to give the visitors some comfort at the usually overcrowded fair.
The fair will have 540 pavilions and stalls in 14 categories in January this year, down from 584 last year.
The Export Promotion Bureau or EPB and the commerce ministry are organising the 23rd edition of the month-long DITF from Jan 1 on the west side of Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
The work to set up the boundary wall, gate, pavilions and stalls was under way in full swing on Saturday.
EPB official and a member of the fair organising committee Abdur Rouf told that they cut the number of stalls and increased resting places, parks and other structures where the visitors can get rest.
