Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad
Different programmes marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman were announced at a ceremony organised by Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad was held at its central office in the city’s Purana Palton on Monday with its President Lion Gani Mia Babul in the chair. The programmes are: August 1- Placing of floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in the city’s 32, Dhanmondi at 8 am, August 3- Painting competition on ‘Bangabandhu, Muktijuddha O Bangladesh among the students of Jume Bangladesh School in the city’s Segunbagicha, August 8- Discussion on Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib on her birthday, August 15- Mourning rally at 8 am, placing of floral wreaths at Bangabandhu’s portrait at 10 am and discussion and doa mahfil at its central office at 4pm, August 24- Relief distribution among flood-hit people and August 31- Discussion on ‘Bangbandhur Adarsha Mrityunjaee’ at the Jatiya Press Club.
