Bangladesh Chhinnamul Hawkers Samity
An opinion sharing meeting between the leaders of Bangladesh Chhinnamul Hawkers Samity and Bangladesh Hawkers Sramajibi Parishd was held at the office of Bangladesh Chhinnamul Hawkers Samity in the city. In the programme held recently the speakers demanded to rehabilitate the hawkers before their eviction. They also demanded to execute the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to solve the ongoing problems of the hawkers. The function was addressed, among others, by President of the Bangladesh Hawkers Sramajibi Parishad Ali Mortoza, its Senior Vice-President Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Badal, Vice-President Kamal Hossain, General Secretary MA Khaer and Office Secretary Abdul Awal.
Padatik Natya Sangsad
A discussion on the occasion of 96th birth anniversary of eminent educationist, Language Movement veteran and lifetime Chairman of Padatik Natya Sangsad, Syed Badruddin Hossain was held on the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha. Padatik Natya Sangsad organised the event. In the programme held recently two eminent theatre personalities, Liaquat Ali Lucky and Golam Sarwar were honoured with ‘Syed Badruddin Hossain Memorial Award’ for their outstanding contribution to theatre. The award giving ceremony was held at a festival of the sangsad. In the function, different theatre troupes brought their theatrical plays at different stages of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
