BD Awami Motor Drivers’ League
A discussion marking the 15th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Motor Drivers’ League was held at the Jatiya Press Club. Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Hasan called upon the motor vehicle drivers and the common people to remain alert so that those who killed people in arson attacks cannot go to power. “When Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave directives to the motor drivers to take rest in daytime after driving in night, BNP-Jamaat clique killed more than 100 drivers in arson attacks,” he said. Hasan said the people can by no means accept those who carried out brutal acts like killing innocent CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver in Chattogram and setting parked trucks on fire.He also appreciated the contribution of motor vehicle drivers to the economy and the transport sector. The minister urged BNP to shun the path of conspiracy and cooperate with the government in taking ahead the country. President of the organisation Mohammad Ali Hossain presided over the event.
