National Domestic Women Workers Union
A rally organised by National Domestic Women Workers Union was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held on Tuesday the speakers bitterly criticized the remarks of Allama Shafi on female education. The leaders of the organisation called upon Shafi to withdraw the remarks immediately and beg pardon. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Murshida Akhter, labour leaders Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, Abul Hossain, youth leader Mostofa Alamgir Ratan and Advocate Zobaida Parvin of the union. President of the organisation Amena Begum presided over the event.
