Sammilita Sangskritik Jote
A discussion and cultural function jointly organised by Sammilita Sangskritik Jote and Sammilita Muktijoddha Sangsad was held at ‘Bijoy Mancha’ in the city’s Shahbag on Tuesday on the occasion of Victory Month. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman was present in the programme as the chief guest. At the beginning of his speech Akhtaruzzaman paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He said the great achievement of Bangalee nation is the achievement of victory through the glorious Liberation War. He said that there is no compromise with the questions on the issue of Bangladesh, glorious Liberation War and Father of the Nation. The function was also addressed, among others, by Vice-President of the jote and dramatist Jhuna Chowdhury and Vice-President of Sammilita Muktijoddha Sangsad Osman Ali. President of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote Golam Quddus presided over the event.
