A human chain organised by Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) Faridpur unit, was formed at Janata Bank Square in Faridpur on Monday against the militancy, terrorism, abduction and target killings. In the programme the speakers condemned and protested the terrorism, militant activities and repression on minorities in the country and called upon all to resist these evil activities unitedly. They accused a particular political party under whose shelter and patronage these activities are going on across the country and urged the government to take stern action against those elements.The human chain was addressed, among others, by CPB district unit president Kanai Kangali, unit secretary Rafiquzzaman Layek and member of the party Subhash Saha.

A discussion marking eighth anniversary of release of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from prison organised jointly by Jubo League Dhaka City North and South was held at
Mahanagar Natyamanch in the city’s Gulistan recently. Jubo League Chairman Mohammad Omar Faruque Chowdhury was present as the chief guest. While speaking Faruque said BNP-Jamaat alliance is carrying out secret killings one after another to make the country unstable. They are pushing the country into anarchy by killing the foreign citizens along with innocent people of the country, he added. The programme was also addressed, among others, by its presidium members Shahid Serniabat, Mazibur Rahman Chowdhury, Jubo League General Secretary M Harunur Rashid, Organizing Secretary Fazlul Haq Atique, central leader Manirul Islam Hawlader, Jubo League Dhaka City North President Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil and Dhaka City South Acting General Secretary Rezaul Karim Reza.
