A 4-member delegation led by Seok Yong , Principal Public Management Specialist of Asian Development Bank (ADB) called on Dhaka University VC Prof Dr md akhtaruzzaman yesterday at the later’s office of the University . The delegation included Ryotaro Hayashi , Social Sector Specialist of ABD and Dr Kyoung Y Bae , Professor of the College of Computer Software and Media Technology of Sangmyung of South Korea. Prof dr Kazi muhaymin-Us-Sakib of the Information Technology of DU and some other faculty members were present on the occasion, says a press release.
Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project
A workshop on Procurement for Accountants of Round-4 Sub-projects being implemented in different public and private universities was held at UGC Auditorium yesterday. The AIF Unit of Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) organised the workshop. Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC graced the workshop as the Chief Guest. Prof Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Member, UGC presided over the function. Dr. Gauranga Chandra Mohanta ndc, Project Director , HEQEP and Sohel Ahmed, Deputy Project Director , HEQEP were Special Guests on the occasion. Md. Israt Hossain Khan, AIF Coordinator HEQEP delivered the welcome address on the occasion. UGC Chairman, in his speech urged the accountants to spend the project fund by following the government rules and regulations. He also called upon them to preserve the project documents to face the audit. Prof Yousuf Ali Mollah, in his presidential speech urged the accountants to discharge their duties with sincerity and honesty for successful completion of the sub-projects.
Engineering University School and College
The annual academic prize distribution and cultural programme of Engineering University School and College was held in the institution premises on Tuesday . Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf, former Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology presided over the function. Among others, members of the governing body, Principal Md. Shamsul Hoque, Assistant Head Master Md. Abu Bakar Siddique were also present on the occasion, says a press release.
