Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad
A team of representatives of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad, Central Committee, Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee and Shri Shri Dhakeshwari Jatiya Mandir distributed winter clothes among the Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar on the second instant. In the programme the leaders of the organisations urged the government to take necessary steps to send back Rohingya refugees to Myanmar.The function was attended, among others, by President of Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee DN Chatterjee, its Vice-President Jayanta Kumar Dev, General Secretary Advocate Shyamal Kumar Roy, President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad, Cox’s Bazar district unit Advocate Ranjit Das and its General Secretary Babul Sharma.  
Shaw-Unnayan
An experience sharing meeting on ‘National Education Policy 2010: Implementation, Progress and Challenges’ organised jointly by Shaw-Unnayan and Campaign for Mass Education was held at Master Chef Hall Room in Rajshahi. In the programme held recently the speakers stressed the need for improving quality of education both in rural and urban areas for overall development of the nation. They said proper and successful implementation of the National Education Policy-2010 can be the vital means of attaining the cherished goal. Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, who addressed the meeting as the chief guest, said the present government has taken different initiatives for making the country’s education sector dynamic as education is the backbone of a nation. During keynote presentation, Dr Murshida Khanom, a researcher of Rajshahi University (RU), gave an overview of the national education policy and put forward a set of recommendations for its successful implementation. Former Principal of Rajshahi Court Degree College Prof Shafiqur Rahman presided over the event.The function was also addressed, among others, by Assistant Director of Department of Primary Education Abul Kalam Azad, Assistant Director of Department of Non-formal Education Anwar Kamal and Shaw-Unnayan President Mustafizur Rahman Khan.
