Electronics Safety & Security Assoc of BD
Motahar Hossain Khan and Nazmul Huda have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of the Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) for 2017-2019. The election to the executive committee of the ESSAB, a non-profit trade association, was held recently with much enthusiasm and festivity. Other elected office bearers of the ESSAB are: Vice-Presidents- Mohammad Monzur Alam and Matin Khan, Joint Secretary- M Mahmudur Rashid, Treasurer -Md Qaisar Rizvi and Members- Saiful Haque Kamal, Jahiruddin Babar, Zakir Uddin Ahmed, Mohammad Mahmud, Niaz Ali Chishti, Mohammad Shahjahan, Wahid Uddin, SM Gofranul Haque and Md Mahmood-e-Khoda.Director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Abu Motaleb acted as the election commissioner, the release added. The ESSAB was established in 2013 with a purpose of representing, promoting and enhancing the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security, and integrated systems industry.
National Memorial Gallery
A discussion on 144th birth anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq organised by National Memorial Gallery was held at Swadhinata Hall of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha. In the programme held recently the speakers paid rich tributes to Sher-e-Bangla. While speaking they said Sher-e-Bangla was uncommon personality. He loved the people irrespective of caste, creed and colour. This is why, he became the best friend and leader of the mass people. President of the organisation Engineer AHM Maniruzzaman Dewan Manik presided over the event.The function was addressed, among others, by President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Advocate Joynul Abedin, President of a faction of Dhaka Union of Journalists Poet Abdul Hye Sikder, General Secretary of SCBA Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon, freedom fighter and politician Ismail Hossain Bengal and President of Deshraksha Andolon M Sanwar Hossain.
