Green University
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) and Dnet at University Campus on Thursday . The MoU was signed by Shamima Akter, Director-in-charge of Green University Centers and Mr. Mizanur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer (Acting) of Dnet. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Dean- Faculty of Science & Engineering of GUB, Md. Ashraful Anowar, Director of Accounts & Finance, Fizar Ahmed, IT Director, Sirajul Hossain, Chief Innovation Officer of Dnet attended the signing ceremony. This MoU brings GUB and Dnet together to contribute towards building to develop research cooperation, establish a collaborative program in information and communication technology (ICT) between the two academic and research organizations and to cooperate in their mutual interest for a range of higher educational activities, says a press release.
Bangabandhu Memorial Trust
A meeting of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust was held at Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi here on Friday afternoon. Chairperson of the trust and Bangabandhu’s elder daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting. The meeting reviewed the social welfare activities of the trust and decided to carry forward its different projects faster.

A 3- day long International Exhibition ‘Builders Myanmar 2017’ has been inaugurated at Novotel Yangon Max, Yangon, Myanmar on Thursday. It’s a complete construction and building material exhibition Organized by Fireworks Media Co. Pte. Ltd (Singapore) along with an association of Savor International Ltd (Bangladesh). The Exhibition is inaugurated by U Aye Than, Vice- President, Myanmar Industrial Association and Myo Thant, President, Myanmar Exhibition and Conference Association. From Bangladesh, renowned organizations Like Raetco Ltd., Genesis Technologies Limited, in collaboration with Myffco (M) SDN BHD participated in the exhibition. Furthermore, famous Constructions & Electric brands of the world such as Nitto Kogyo (Japan), Fuji Electric (Japan), Mavel Turbines (Czech), Mitsubishi (Japan), Bosch (Germany), Tai Sin Cables (Singapore), TOA Paint (Thaland) and a lot of renowned organizations have taken place in the Exhibition. Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Myanmar has appreciated this effort and provided support to the initiative. Dhaka University Science Society (DUSS)
Dhaka University Science Society (DUSS) held a daylong science festival at Teacher-Student Center (TSC) on the campus. Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman joined the prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest held at TSC auditorium while DU Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique presided over it on Friday evening,said a DU release on Saturday.DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (academic) Professor Nasreen Ahmad and Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Department Professor Lafifa Jamal were present on the occasion, among others. Earlier, DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (administration) Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the daylong festival in the morning.
