Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University and Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Bangladesh, an international development organisation entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday, says a press release. The purpose of this memorandum of understanding is to jointly offer students of DIU opportunities to participate in program learning through volunteerism. Through this MoU, students from Daffodil International University will get the opportunity to participate in the development projects conducted by VSO Bangladesh. The MoU was signed by Md. Forkhan Uddin, Country People and Operations Manager of VSO Bangladesh and Feroz Mahmud, Director, CDC in presence of Prof Dr Yousuf M Islam, VC and Prof Dr Engr A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar of Daffodil International University. Among others, Golam Monowar Kamal, Director, Innovation Hub and Abu Taher Khan, Project Director, Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) were present.
Higher Edn Quality Enhancement Project
A day-long workshop on ‘Draft Strategic Plan for Higher Education in Bangladesh organised by Strategic Policy Unit under Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project was held at UGC auditorium yesterday. Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC presided over the function. Mohiuddin Khan, Additional Secretary, Education Ministry, spoke on the occasion. Dr. Gauranga Chandra Mohanta, ndc, Project Director, Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) delivered the address of welcome. Prof Dr. Syed Manzoorul Islam, National Consultant, HEQEP presented a draft report on Strategic Plan for Higher Education in Bangladesh 2017-2030. Besides, Prof Dr. Syed Rashidul Hasan, former Treasurer, Dhaka University presented a paper on ‘Rationalization of Student Fees in Public University’, Faruq Mainuddin, Additional Managing Director, City Bank Ltd.
